This product photography workshop is created solely with the intention of allowing you to learn the methods that are widely used to photograph still-life and commercial products.
Participants will be taught how to conceptualize product shoots which are trendy and suitable for the industry.
One of the toughest products to shoot is shiny cosmetic products. Learn how to master such shoots effortlessly.
In this half-day workshop, you will:
- learn how to shoot products indoor or in a studio
- learn how to shoot products outdoor
- learn to choose the 3 major lighting styles (direct, reflected & rear lighting)
- learn how to create your own flags and go-in-between-optics
- learn how to shoot products close-up
- learn how to shoot product or still-life macro
- learn how to set-up the various lights and the know the right way to set-up your lighting
- learn to manage reflections and use them to your advantage
- learn to manage shadows and use them to create depth
- learn how to obtain depth of field beyond the reach of your lens
- learn how to get tack-sharp photos effortlessly
- learn how to freeze subjects and shoot above the typical sync-speed barrier of 1/250 sec
- learn how to achieve correct product colors using professional color cards
- learn how to get spot-on exposure in various lighting conditions (using a visual observation, light meters, OR a grey card)
You will be taught how to master the skills required to manage highlights, reflections and shadows in such jewelery shoots.
You will also learn how to:
- photograph transparent products (eg: glass, perfume bottles, water droplets, etc)
- photograph reflective products (eg: jewelleries, metallic products, watches, etc)
- photograph reflective & transparent products (eg: diamonds, crystal, etc)
- photograph translucent products (eg: fruits, organic products, etc)
- photograph matt or light absorbing products (eg: cloth, fibers, etc)
Participants will be exposed to practical sessions where they will be shooting:
- jeweleries
- cosmetic products
- food and beverages products
- electronic products
Learn to shoot food and beverages photos that jump out and scream 'Yummy!'
