Nikonian Academy has put together an eSLR to help our students understand the relationship between aperture and shutter speed more clearly and conveniently. Play with different aperture and shutter speed settings to see how depth of field, motion blur and exposure are affected with each variation. Try and freeze the fans and see what shutter speed is required for this kind of high-speed action. Notice how depth of field is greatly affected with lower aperture settings, but it has to be “shot” at higher shutter speed in order to get correct exposure? Have fun!
